From feasibility study to CE marking

Concept Studies / Feasibility Studies

Before investing in a system, it can make sense to determine the feasibility of an automation or robotics project through theoretical analysis and/or practical test series. The core topics of the application are identified, grouped and evaluated. Areas of interest include conceptual considerations regarding operation, safety, layout, gripping technology and process planning.

Typical real-world investigations include measurement series in image processing, gripping technology and force-torque control, as well as other industrial processes where availability is a decisive criterion.

Simulation

The groundwork of an automation project usually begins with a simulation. It confirms and visualises the project and layout as well as the sequences, processes, reachability and cycle time. We use KUKA.Sim Pro, which also allows us to carry out realistic offline programming and system optimisation.

Design Engineering

Every robot cell requires mechanical, electrical and safety design. Our team carries out this work mainly with the software systems AUTODESK Inventor and E-Plan. Customer-specific adaptations are continuously taken into account and integrated throughout the project.

Installation / Commissioning

After mechanical installation, the electrical and safety commissioning of the equipment takes place. Archiving, safety inspection and acceptance, together with their documentation, are part of the commissioning phase.

Programming

MRK’s core competence is programming robots (logic and path), system and safety PLCs (including Siemens) as well as HMI visualisations and image processing systems. Tailor-made solutions are programmed based on customer requirements. MRK also takes on programming, modification and retrofitting of existing systems from other manufacturers.

Project Management

Project execution is supervised by experienced MRK project leaders. This ensures that projects are delivered on time, completely, within budget and to the required quality. In addition to internal and external coordination, our project managers are your central point of contact throughout the project. In this way, we carry out our own projects as well as joint projects as general contractor.

Cell Construction / CE Marking

For machines placed on the market, MRK issues the CE marking and declaration of conformity and prepares and reviews all required documents: risk assessment, FMEA, SISTEMA, operating instructions and declarations of incorporation. MRK also offers CE marking and risk assessment as a stand-alone service – including for systems not built by MRK.

Training / Maintenance / Service

After commissioning and acceptance, we are happy to train the operator on the functions and specifics of the system and to support production during ramp-up or trial operation.

Even after acceptance, MRK remains your contact for technical questions and spare parts management. To ensure the highest possible availability, we create individual service and maintenance agreements tailored to your support and supply requirements.
